Win Premium Faux Meats Here!

If you saw my post yesterday for the Southwest Veggie Burger and suspected that I would hold a contest for the featured product, Match Meats, well…you were right! Now is your chance to win a sampling of gourmet meat alternatives from Match.

One lucky winner will receive a 1-pound package of each of Match's top-selling vegan meats, including the "beef" I featured in my post yesterday. Just leave a comment below telling me what recipe you would love to use the product in, and the best answer, as determined by me, wins! The contest ends on June 13, and the winner will be notified by June 20. And don't forget that you can order the product on the Match Meats Web site if you're not the chosen one.

And just so you know…by leaving a comment, you're acknowledging that you've read and agreed to our privacy policy and our terms and conditions. Good luck!

Enter me please!! Yummy!

allison :

I love veggie meats, there are so many different reasons to convert over, I don't understand why flesh eatters aren't more open-minded!

Jaclyn :

I would love to use the Match Meat to make "tajaditas."

Let me explain. I'm from Honduras and in my country, we eat tajaditas as a snack. They can be found in corner "bodegas" or corner stores that sell all sorts of snacks. I've been craving tajaditas for quite some time.

Here is how you make them:

Sautee your ground "meat" with onions, green peppers, garlic, jalapenos, cumin, black pepper and salt. You can add a little tomato sauce as well. Your "meat" should be a little juicy and not too dry.

Slice cabbage really thin. Lightly season the cabbage with lime, black pepper and cumin.

Take a couple of green plantains (or more depending on how many servings you're making), slice them and fry them. These are your "tajaditas."

I'd like to actually set up the little red snack baskets and line them with the red and white checkered papers. Fill up the basket with tajaditas, top with some of the "meat" and top that with the sliced cabbage.

That is what I would make with my Match Meat!

I am not an expert cook, so I would have to follow a recipe. I would like to try this product in your southwest burger recipe, enchiladas, and/or sloppy joes.

jenni :

oh! oh! a vegan crab rangoon would be perfection. i have been eying a recipe on about.com for a while. here is the recipe veganized...

vegan crab rangoon
ingredients:
8 oz vegan cream cheese
8 oz faux crab meat
1 tsp red onion, chopped
1/2 tsp vegan Worcestershire sauce
1/2 tsp light soy sauce
freshly ground black pepper, to taste
1 green onion, finely sliced
1 large clove garlic, smashed, peeled, and finely minced
1 package vegan wonton wrappers
1 small bowl water
Oil for deep-frying, as needed

instructions:
1.) Combine the "cream cheese" and "crab meat". Mix in the remaining six filling ingredients (up to the wonton wrappers) one at a time.

2.) On a flat surface, lay out a won ton wrapper in front of you so that it forms 2 triangles (not a square).

3.) Wet the edges of the won ton. Add 1 teaspoon of filling to the middle, and spread it out toward the left and right points of the wrapper so that it forms a log or rectangular shape (otherwise the wrapper may break in the middle during deep-frying).

4.) Fold over the edges of the wrapper to make a triangle. Wet the edges with water and press together to seal.

5.) Keep the completed Crab Rangoon covered with a damp towel or paper towel to keep them from drying out while preparing the remainder.

6.) Heat wok and add oil for deep-frying. When oil is ready (the temperature should be between 360 - 375 degrees), carefully slide in the "Crab Rangoon", taking care not to overcrowd the wok. Deep-fry until they are golden brown, about 3 minutes, turning once.

7.) Remove with a slotted spoon and drain. Serve hot with Sweet and Sour Sauce or Chinese Hot Mustard.

Yields: 48

Kelsey Leingang :

I love faux meat!

I would love to use the chicken for one of my fav's that mom used to make called brandicot chicken. I do use tofu for it, but it still hasn't quite got that Mom made it taste.

lisa nickel :

It's very hard to choose which product I would like to use so I've narrowed it down to 2, the ground chicken breast and the italian sausage.
The ground chicken I would like to use to make some faux chicken cutlets, breaded and baked in the oven. This also would be good with some marinara sauce and teese cheese for a parmigiana. The italian sausage would be a great addition for my lasagne. I hope I win, these faux meats are not available where I live in northern California.

Jay Willis :

Great blog! I really enjoy reading!

I would love to make my vegan meatloaf sandwiches the Match Meats "beef".

I would simply take:

1 pound "beef"
1 medium green bell pepper diced
1/2 cup onion of choice
Basil
Oregano
Salt
Pepper
Parsley
Chili Powder

Mix it all up and form a loaf on a greased cookie sheet. Bake on 475 for 25 minutes covered with foal. Then broil for 5-7 minutes uncovered. Serve on a toasted kaiser bun with a homemade tomato sauce on top of "meat". I also sometimes add hot pepper rings, lettuce, and/or a slice of onion to top things off. Just depends on my mood.

Megan :

I would love to use the "beef" to try and make a vegan version of my mom's delicious porcupine meatballs. They use uncooked rice in the balls (hence the 'porcupine' aspect) which cook in this yummy-tomato based sauce which they soak up as they cook on the stove, and then you serve them over rice.

:)

Nicole Selensky :

I want to make chicken cutlets and tacos and fajitas with the meat. My mom never buys me fake meat, and I want to show her it tastes good, so I can buy it more often and stick to a healthy vegetarian diet.

VANESSA NELSON :

I WANT TO TRY IT IN A CURRY SPICY DISH, ITS FUN TRYING THESE NEW RECIPES.WHILE ADDING A LITTLE OF YOUR OWN FLAVOR CREATING A MAGICAL FLAVOR AND TASTE THATS ALSO APPEASING TO THE EYES MMM...GOOD

jane august :

I want to introduce my non-vegan friends to tasty vegan alternatives!

Gary Emes :

SOuthwest Veggie Burger topped with salsa, sour cream and lettuce and tomato and veggie cheese sprinkled with hard taco shells and you have the BEST taco around!!

Emily Etzler :

I would use the "meat" for my burritos! Everyone loves my burritos, i make them for my fellow co-workers all the time. I use Morning Star Farms "beef" crumble, refried beans, onions, pepperjack and monterey jack cheese and use a taco seasoning to season the "beef". I then wrap the the "beef", onions, refried beans and cheese in flour tortillas then individually wrap them in aluminum foil and bake at 350ish for about 1/2 hour. You should pick me because my burritos are the best, none of my co-workers are vegetarian and they all like my vegetarian burritos better than when I used real beef before i went Veg!!

Jane :

Hi Amy,
I was excited to read this post on Match Meats. My husband and I have been vegan for almost a year now, and we're happy with our choice. But every once in a while, we find ourselves craving something from our omni life.

It's close to that time of year when my grandmother passed away, and as usual, I find myself thinking of her. Most of my memories involve her being in the kitchen, and one of her best recipes was Goulash which I haven't had in ages as it is a beef based recipe and I stopped eating beef a long time before going vegan.

If I win the contest, I would try her recipe for German Goulash Zuppe. It would be truly wonderful to be able to recreate that meal again.

Linda :

Tacos

Andrew Gordon :

I'd try the crab match pasta. My kids love seafood and they love pasta, just seems like a natural way to introduce them to match products and get them to like them.

Katie Coughlin :

I am interested in trying the Match beef. I really do not miss chicken or pork, but during the summer when I can tell my neighbors are grilling out, I really want a burger.

Kim Kindrew :

I would definitely love to make chili with the Match Meats ground beef. What a great vegetarian meal that would be - with tomatoes, beans and the added plant protein in the Match Meats "ground beef," it's a meal my family and me can enjoy together.

susan varney :

love to try in pasta

Ronald Truex :

I would throw a party!!!

Ruth Kuehn :

I would use the ground "chicken" in my Green Chili Chicken Enchilada recipe. The whole family loves it - easy to make and tastes great!

Blythe :

I would love to make homemade veggie burgers on the grill. I love to grill in the summertime so I really would love some faux meat to work with. I would grill out with my friends so they could see how delish vegan food can be.

Amanda :

My mom always makes her Chinese food homemade, I've been looking for a substitute crab meat for us - so we can make our own crab ragoons with substitute crab and tofutti better than cream cheese! Yum!

I'm taking a whole new outlook on farm animals. I'm learning fast how to be a good vegan. I'd love to have the opportunity to try new "meat"less products in many recipes I already make, ie; meat-less loaf, meat-less meatballs, meatless burgers, etc. I'm doing this first for the animals, the environment and myself...looking for any and all ways to change myself, my world around me and those I come in contact with.
Thank you,
Raven

Meredith Peters :

A Great Garden Lasagna!

kiersten :

I have a chicken tangine recipe that I use quorn in, but it doesn't work out too well -- would love to try this instead!

Brenton Cox :

Texas Hash. It rocks with seared severed cow flesh, I would like to see what this fake stuff is like in it.

JOHN MAHONEY :

IRISH STEW

jffryclough :

got bacon(faux)?

Amy :

I would love to win the Match Meats contest so that I can try to make a very healthy Chile Relleno. I found this recipe on this site a while ago and I've been eyeing it for that long. I'm still a pretty new vegan and it is still pretty hard for me to convert the recipes that I know and love already into vegan recipes. Since I am hispanic and grew up on hispanic foods, those are the ones I'm trying to convert.

rachelle quintal :

hey my name is Rachelle and i am new to the vegan world! so far i am not having any trouble following the vegan ways! at the moment i am just grocery shopping like crazy tring to figure out what i like and dont like. its funny tho i look like a lost pup in the grocery store's!
the reason why i want to win is so i dont become poor buying everything!

thanks! =)

Elizabeth Baer :

I want to use it in a vegan taco salad.

Mena :

I would use vegan match meat beef to make Kefta, a traditional Lebanese recipe that my father makes. He puts Kefta patties (they look like hamburger or meatballs), in a baking dish with sliced tomatoes, potatoes and onions, then covers it in a spicy tomato sauce. I feel badly that every time he makes this wonderful dish, I opt out because I'm a vegan now. I think that if I used the vegan match meat beef to make Kefta, and that if I made it taste almost like the real thing I would probably make my father very proud.

My girlfriend has just gone vegetarian a few weeks ago. However, she's been CRAVING a corn-based "She Crab Soup" from a nearby Clearwater Beach, FL eatery, Frenchy's. I have searched and searched for a vegan recipe alternative, but to no avail. :( Is a Vegan She Crab Soup possible with Match crab? I sure hope so! Thanks!!

Lots of vegan love,

Gretchen

Kellee :

I'm still looking for a "meat" that I can use in pasta dishes. I try to bring vegan food to carnivorous family events.

Beth :

Wow if I had 1 lb. of each vegan pork, beef and chicken..I would find a way to savor every last bit of it...especially the beef!!!! With the beef I would use a tiny bit in everything that has beef like tacos, a burger, spaghetti sauce..one thing though, my husband and I love to make a chipotle style dinner with guacamole, corn salsa, lime rice and all so with teh beef I would definitely season it with a homemade fajita season and maybe some chipotle peppers in adobo sauce and cook it up that way to add to my Chipotle style burrito. Also being half filipino I miss the good dishes my mom always makes so I would definitely put the meat to use to make some fried lumpia or egg rolls with the beef, some chicken adobo, saopo which is a yummy pork filled dumpling..if i could have that with some vegan pork...OMG I would be sooo happy!!!! Either way if I had some vegan meat I think like everyone else I would find a way to use and savor every last bit, not letting any go to waste and if I could make some fried lumpia or saopo with it I would definitely have everyone give it a try before telling them it's vegan!! But until then...I still love my only available vegan meat..my boca burgers!!

Christine :

I would use it for a meat loaf with lots of onions and green peppers...mmmm mmmm good. ;-)

Brian Beer :

I love making vegetarian "meat-loaves." I usually use lentils, but this could be fun!

DAVID BREWSTER :

I WOULD LIKE TO GET INTO THE VEGY THING AND TRY SOME OF THESE PRODUCTS.

Lori Bagley :

I am captivated by all the choices available to vegans these days...always room for more tho!! Our daughter has been our inspiration to begin this journey to lighten our diets and our consciences. So I am searching for new ways of using products. As a professional scratch baker and cook am always experimenting. I love making soups, sandwiches and salads with a twist, always with fresh herbs and trying to add that hidden punch to "jack up" the flavor ! Would like to try something to give 3 bean chili a heartier feeling and richer heartier calzone with sundried tomatoes, sweet potatoes, onions and peppers. Thanx for providing this site!!!

gina stevens :

I would love to win. My Aunt is a vegetarian and likes to try new things!!!

Monika Iszard :

I would use this in my lemon-citrus salad

Les Slusarczyk :

I would love to make stuffed peppers. Match makes a "crab" meat that would be perfect for a summer version of stuffed peppers. YUM!

Jan Ackerman :

I'd like to try the meat substitute in my Sour Cream Beef Enchiladas with Salsa Fresca.

Rachel Newman :

I would love to use the Italian meatballs in a modified version of my grandmother's Italian wedding soup (with faux parm too!). I bet my grandma won't be able to tell the difference!

melissa :

how do i enter the contest?

alison mcsherry :

i would love to make a large "meat" dish like a pot roast or some fake tenderloin, but i also would love to use it in simpler things like fajitas and mexican food-yum

Charles Gibson :

I grew up with Beef Stroganoff and would love to see a Match Meat version of this recipe.

Thanks,
Charles

Nancy Morrell :

I would love to try these

lupe mendoza :

i would use the meat in any and every possible way. i've never ate or cooked a vegan meal before in my life! i am really interested and commited to changing my lifestyle. money is scarce right now so it's difficult to experiment at the time. i'll just stick with veggies in the meantime.

janeh :

I would definitely make crab cakes with the Match Meats Crab! I haven't tried this product yet....but plan to.

Thanks for this contest! I've been meat free since I was a kid and am always trying to find ways to feed my family.

Kristi :

I would love to make the southwest veggie burgers

Tony Tannahill :

Love to try something new.

wilfred Duprey :

i dont eat meat so i would love to win this prize

Andi :

I have recently decided to change my diet and am searching the web for various ways on how to do this. A vegetarian diet is sounding more appealing every day. I DID like meat and, being English (now living in the States) I LOVE Shepherds Pie, so I would love to see how an alternative to this can be made.

Gina Stratos :

I would love to try the crab cakes. I think it's something the whole family would like.

jane jakins :

thanks

Vickie Couturier :

never tried this before, but ive been wanting too,so please count me in,thanks

CAROLYN NAVARRO :

I GET HUNGRY JUST THINKING ABOUT IT!

Annie :

I would love to use it in the "meat" pie. My mom used to make one that was delicious but since going vegan, well, we haven't found a product that could imitate it just as good or better. But we are still looking!
I just have the hope that if I find a good product my dad will realize that vegan food is quite delicious and that it can keep up with his meaty foods.
Well, anyways..
thanks

Becca :

I would use the beef to make swedish meatballs and serve them stroganoff style with some fluffy noodles - super yum.

Kellee Roberts :

If I won the "beef" I would make my favorite homemade burgers. This includes homemade ketchup, onion, parsley and a soy cheddar cheese. I love a homemade burger!

Kimberly Wood :

I would like to use it in a pot of chili or spaghetti.

Megan Moran :

What would i NOT make with faux meats??? i LOVE to cook and for years i struggled with my desire to eat ethically because of my passion for cooking delicious foods... i was just too afraid my meals just wouldn't be the same! fortunately in the past 6 months i have been able to throw away my fears and have jumped right into experimenting with alternative protein sources and am proud to say the less meat i eat the less i want to eat meat! there are so many wonderful healthy and ethical meals to make it's truly been a revelation. i feel extra proud too because of the impact i have seen with those around me... my parents, fiancee, and many friends all know me as a good cook and are trusting and delightfully surprised at my new vegan/vegetarian cooking talents and have also become inspired to reduce their meat consumption as well! even co-workers have shown interest in the home-made meals i bring for lunch and one (so far!) has even decided to try being vegetarian too! i'm a teacher and have the summers off so throughout this summer i will be hosting a weekly bbq/potluck for all my friends and am hoping to get more people turned on to faux meats. i plan to make everything i can! hmmm off the top of my head? the first recipes i would like to try are the italian meatballs from match meats website with a veggi-ful pasta dish and i would also love to try the "crab" in sushi, which is a party favorite... i have been wanting to make shish kebab so i would have to experiment with which makes the best replacement for the "shish" but i know that'll be a great party dish too with fresh naan and curried chickpeas.
mmmm hope to sample match meats soon!

SAM WU :

VERY NEAT AND INTERESTING PRIZE
VERY UNIQUE

GOOD LUCK TO ALL WHO ENTER!

Mariann Hudson :

I would love to win this as I am just learning about veg living through a friend. I think I would use some of the meat for a meatloaf so it's easily sliced in to meal-sized portions and so that my family (we have 5 chidlren ages 11 and under) can eat it, too!

Thank you for your consideration!

We went camping this weekend and made pizza on the campfire. The carnivores had beef and bacon on their pizza. My husband and I had settled for cheese pizza until someone suggested cutting up a veggie burger. It was very tasty, but certainly not beefy. I would use the "beef" you mentioned in the last post on our next campfire pizza!

Pamela :

I would like to make Veg Strogganoff. And enchiladas, philly "cheese steaks" all kinds of good things..a saute of roasted red peppers, artichoke hearts, kalamata olives, olive oil, and the meat substitute. Being veg is an unlimited culinary adventure.

Jennifer M. :

I love to chop up veggie products and make a great fried rice with them.

I would love to try the Southwest Burger recipe!

Joanna J :

I would love to use this product to make Golabki, or Polish cabbage rolls, which are usually made with pork/beef and rice rolled inside of cabbage leaves, and cooked in the oven with a savory tomato sauce for a few hours to soften the cabbage. I have tried many different things, including other meat substitutes and mushrooms, but nothing yet has been as good in flavor as the real thing! I would honestly try these products in all of my Polish home cooking!

Meg F :

I am always looking for ways to reduce fat and calories in meals. I think this would be great for any pasta, stir fry or casserole!

Jessica Paige :

I would love to use it for summer barbeques! I think that burger looks great, but I'd also love to try and barbeque pork or chicken. Veggie burgers can be delicious, but I'm anxious to add a little more meat-free variety to summer cookouts.

Christine Groce :

I make a mean vegeterian chili and would definately use for this. Please count me in. Thanks!!

Jason Michael :

I have forever been trying to find the perfect sausage to include in my family's post-church breakfast burritos. For years we have been unimpressed with the results of other products. I would love to try Match at one of our weekly gatherings and see if I can't finally nail down the perfect breakfast burrito.

Jessica :

I would love to try to make vegetarian beef stroganoff

Cassandra :

Mmm mmm. I love faux meat!

atosa :

I want to make persian chelo kabobs(beef served with basmati rice)! It was my favorite dish when I ate meat, and my parents still make it, everytime I get so tempted to eat it. But, it's been 4 years now, and I've been very strong. It would be amazing to be able to eat it again and make them for the rest of the family and show them I can eat anything they can!

Burton Bathrick :

the berger looks good

Belinda :

I would love to try this in some casseroles.

Marilyn Wons :

I would love to use this meat in my chili recipe - thank you for the contest

sarah :

I've got a meaty lasagne recipe I'd love to try them in!

Crystal :

Some days after work I am so hungry and tired and on those days I like to make my quick dish using my veggie meat. I use fresh carrots and onions (Sweet Ones) along with potatoes. About 2cups each. Brown in olive oil the veggies then add about 1 cup veggie beef-like chuncks ( Boil them first in 1/2 cup water. with 2 tablespoons jerk spice added). chopped celantro, frest garlic. Combine 2 pack of your favorite Beef-Stew mix with browned veggies and veggie beef chuncks

Add water as per package directions , simmer and enjoy.

This is a wonderful dish to serve to people who think that this veggie meat is a joke. This is great!

A Vegan For Life!

Kimberley Landsman :

PLEASE choose me to win the MATCH MEATS products! I've been vegetarian for 20+ years and have a son who's been veg since birth (he's 5) and my husband went veg 7 years ago. My husband grew up in Indiana. His grandfather was a jewish butcher. he comes from a HUGE meat eating family. ANYWAY--- I should win this for him. for us. for my family!! This would give him another oppertunity to choose a veg product over a real meat and see what a good decision he's made and kept all these years. Plus my son hates food- so any chance to get him to maybe like something new is a blessing. And I'm a home chef. I LOVE to cook w/ fake meat products and I'm so eager to try this one! We live on an island in Maine so we do not have access to many products out there! And, to top it all off... we're dirt poor. So, we gladly accept contest-loot handouts! :)

jade :

I'd use it in my (fantastic!) Seitan Strogonoff. I came up with the recipe shortly after becoming a vegetarian in 1988, and altered it the following year when I went vegan. It's still one of my favorite dishes. I'd really like to try it with faux 'beef' instead of seitan.

Scott :

I would love to duplicate a recipie that I used to eat with spicy sausage. Make stuffed peppers with the veggie sausage mix with spices, onions, hot peppers, tomatoes, and this would make a great meal.

DIANNE OLIVER :

I WOULD LIKE TO WIN BECAUSE I WANT TO BECOME A VEGETARIAN AND I WOULD LIKE TO CONVINCE MY HUSBAND THAT YOU CAN EAT TASTY DELICIOUS FOOD WITHOUT EATING REGULAR MEAT!I HAVE TO CONVINCE HIM WITH SOME OF YOUR WONDERFUL RECIPES AND I NEED THE "MEAT" TO GO IN THEM! THANKS!

sandra kao :

perhaps spaghetti with "meat" sauce

Connie Miller :

I read the Blog and I went to the Match website and wanted to try everything!! I am just starting out and would love to try before I buy!!!

Kris :

I would love to win the "meats"
I recently became vegan and am desperately trying to convert my husband. I keep trying to tell him how great the products are and how great I feel. Any help would be appreciated!

kelsey :

Oh my goodness, the crab in some crab cakes on the grill sound awesome!

Maureen :

My husband has his grandmother's recipe for meatballs that call for ground beef, sausage and pork... I would love to be able to make a veggie substitute that reminds him of his grandmother and when he was growing up. With the other products Match offers it opens a world of opportunity... sausage and peppers, stirfry chicken with spainish rice in torrillas, and something I haven't had since I was a kid... beef and broccoli. Thanks for offering a great contest!

Ken Bidwell :

Please enter me in the contest. I would love to sample some new vegan meats.

Ken

Babalu :

I use veggie "meat" products pretty often, and buy the national brands. These would be nice to try.

Mandy :

I suggest and would love to see beef wellington!

Laurel :

I would make sloppy joes, my kids' favorite.

Angela Brasier :

My son(13yrs old), who lives with his Dad is vegetarian and I'd like to win this for him!

Talidapali :

Well...I'd love to try them all. But the first recipe I would use them in is Mexican Stuffed-Pepper Biscuit Tostadas. It's a recipe I adapted from the Pillsbury Bake-off Contest Finalists recipes. The original recipe called for ground beef, but I used vegan beef crumbles from Morning Star Farms in place of the meat.

Cynthia Bowser
Jonesborough, TN
Bake-Off® Contest 43, 2008
INGREDIENTS
2 large bell peppers (any color)
4 cups water
1 lb vegan beef crumbles (Morning Star Farms Grillers Prime Crumbles)
1 package (1 oz) Old El Paso® taco seasoning mix
1 cup Old El Paso® Thick 'n Chunky salsa
1 can (16.3 oz) Pillsbury® Grands!® Homestyle refrigerated buttermilk biscuits (8 biscuits)
2 oz. vegan Egg substitute
1 cup shredded vegan Mexican cheese blend or vegan Monterey Jack cheese (4 oz)
1/2 cup vegan sour cream, if desired

DIRECTIONS
1. Heat oven to 350°F. Lightly spray large cookie sheet with CRISCO® Original No-Stick Cooking Spray.
2. Cut each bell pepper lengthwise into quarters, making 8 pieces; remove stems, seeds and membranes. In 2-quart saucepan, heat 4 cups water to boiling. Add bell pepper pieces; cook 5 minutes. Drain well on paper towels; set aside.
3. Meanwhile, in 10-inch skillet, cook beef over medium heat 8 to 10 minutes, stirring occasionally, until thoroughly cooked; drain. Stir in taco seasoning mix and salsa until well blended; set aside.
4. Separate dough into 8 biscuits. Place biscuits 2 inches apart on cookie sheet; brush with egg.
5. Press 1 pepper piece, skin side down, on each biscuit. Spoon heaping 1/4 cup beef mixture into each pepper, spreading to cover pepper evenly. Sprinkle each with 2 tablespoons cheese.
6. Bake 18 to 22 minutes or until cheese is melted and edges of biscuits are golden brown. Cool 5 minutes. Top each with 1 tablespoon sour cream.
High Altitude (3500-6500 ft): In step 5, do not add cheese. In step 6, bake 20 minutes. Add cheese; bake 3 to 5 minutes longer or until cheese is melted.

Nancy :

I would stuff things with cheese and fruit and cover it with crushed nuts like pistachio's or hazelnuts.

There's just so much you could do. But this is one of the recipes I would really like to do;

Vegan Apple Sage Pork Burgers with Apple Slaw

Dry Ingredients:
1 lb Match Ground Pork
½ Cup Finely Diced Dried Apples
¼ Cup Cracked Wheat (Bulgar) Prepared
¼ Cup Potato Flakes
2 ½ Tbsp Garbanzo Bean Flour
1 Tbsp Granulated Onion
1 Tbsp Vegan Chicken Powder
1 Tbsp Ground Sage Leaves
2 tsp White Sugar
1 tsp Black Pepper
½ tsp Salt (Optional)
½ tsp Ground Ginger
¼ tsp Cinnamon Powder
¼ tsp Allspice

Wet Ingredients:
½ Cup Apple Sauce
2 tsp Soy Sauce
2 tsp Fresh Minced Garlic
1 Tbsp Apple Cider Vinegar
2 Tbsp Truffle Infused Oil
Or 2 Tbsp Vegetable Oil.

Appleslaw Topping Ingredients:
2 Large Grated Green Apples
½ Medium Onion (Finely Sliced)
¼ Cup Dried Black Currents
¼ Cup Veganaise Mayo
1 tsp White Sugar
1 tsp Apple Cider Vinegar

Burger Bun:

4 Whole Wheat Burger Buns
3 Tbsp Earth Balance Margarine

Equipment:
Skillet or Grill
Spatula and Tongs
3 Bowls
Measuring cups and spoons
Cutting Board
Good Knife

Method:
Mix the wet ingredient in a separate bowl. Once this is done, in a large bowl combine the wet mixture with the dry and using your hands, massage all the ingredients together. Form into four large patties and cook in some oil at medium heat until browned and done through.

While the patties are cooking, start on the appleslaw. First mix together the vinegar and sugar, then once the sugar is dissolved, add in the veganaise. Slice the onion and grate the apple and pour the veganaise mixture over the apple and onion.

Butter the burger buns and warm on the grill. Top the buns with the patties, appleslaw and serve with a side of chunky oven fries. Yummeee!

Laurie :

I have been a vegetarian since age 17, and my kids all their lives, hubby - since he met me. I wish I was a better cook and had a lot of fancy recipes but I don't. I rely on the veggie meats for many meals. I'd put the Match meat in a tortilla for starters!

Old-fashioned meatloaf :) *Thanks* for the giveaway!

I am vegan and so is my 14 YO daughter. She lives with her dad and stepmom. I would like to win this for her! Her stepmom makes her eat chicken and she doesn't like to eat it! Maybe this would help. Peace!

Cami :

I would love to be the lucky winner and take on the challenge of exploring exciting faux meat preparations! Please enter me!! Cheers!

Melody :

I would love to try the match crab. I have never had real crab thankfully, so it would be especially interesting to me to try my hand at vegan crabbyless cakes!

Michele H :

Ooh! Enter me please! :-)

Varesa Hoff :

I have recently gotten married and my husband and I are trying to become vegan. It is harder than we thought to rid ourselves of everything with animal products in them. The hardest for me is marshmallows( which I always seem to crave) but for my hubby it is beef. I wanted to make him lasagna. I tried a meatless lasagna it was ok but did not have the satasfaction of lasagna with lots of hamburger. I would love to try these faux meats. My husband is in the army and we dont have alot of excess money. Going vegan has been a little tough on finances. Winning this contest would be a great way to try some meat alternatives.

Jenna :

Over the years I've made the transition from little to no meat to all out vegetarian (nearly vegan, except for eggs). I've taught my husband, a former "meat n potatoes guy", to incorporate more vegetarian choices into his diet and to dispell his opinions that it all "tastes like rabbit food", as he used to say. We love trying out new recipes and playing around with old favorites to make them meatless.

Erin :

I would love to try this!

Debbie Criss :

My husband just found out he has high cholestrol. We've been buying Boca burgers. We would love to try this meat in chili.
Please enter me, thank you

ellen :

I am the mother of 5 children ages 30 to 15 and I have 1 grandchild age 2, My husband and I have been married 32 years and have raised all our children on a veg/vegan diet. It is now very easy to be a veg.or vegan unlike when I was growing up, or when I first started having children, which by the way, I have had very healthy, alert, bright, calm babies. I am in my 50's
and I am often told by people that they can't believe I am the mother of 5 and the age I am. I think without a doubt it has to do with being a veg.when I was younger, now a vegan. Because when you think about what you eat you also become more aware of the world around you and it changes the way you think about many aspects of your life. Okay, what would I make? All kinds of things, though I don't use the veggie meats that often, I have used for the following when guests come over mainly because it gives them a good idea of how good something can be without meat. I even won a chili contest with my vegan chili recipe.

VEGAN CHILI

LASAGNA

VEGAN LOAF

some type of PASTA,with vegan meat either in the
sauce or made into balls

TACOS

VEGAN STROGANOFF

STEW (like the traditional beef stew)

EMPANADAS

STUFFED PEPPERS (though these are wonderful made with rice)

BROCCOLI STIR FRY

SLOPPY JOE'S

VEGAN POT PIES

SHEPHERDS PIE

VEGAN BOURGUIGNONNE

CURRIED VEGETABLES

For the people who may be interested can I encourage you to explore a herb and spice section of your grocers, I live in a large city so we have a spice store where I buy my spices and dried herbs in bulk, and I grow my fresh herbs. But when you use packaged spice mixes like Old El Paso they may be tasty but they are very high in salt. As well as most packaged products, if you can learn to cook from scratch it may be a little more time consuming but, it is much better for you overall and you cut down on waste, if you have a garden, do compost and if you don't still save you veg. waste and either find an individual who does garden and give it to them or find a community garden and do the same.

Jamie :

Before my lifestyle change I would make a big Sunday dinner for my family and would only cook old family recipes . . . While I still cook them, I no longer enjoy them because every recipe calls for animal products. So if I were the winner, I would make my most favorite dish, chicken and dumplings . . . and a pot roast . . . and enchiladas . . . jambalaya! Just to name a few!

Amy :

After reading your recipe for the Southwest Burger, I have to admit, I would totally make that with the "beef". I would also like to make "crab" cakes. I mean, did you see how beautiful the cakes looked on Match's website? *drool*

Thanks for such a great review. I'm definitely going to be placing an order with Match, even if I'm not the lucky winner.

Cheers!
Amy B.

AO :

I would use the faux pork to make chile verde. This is one dish that I truely miss since I stopped eating meat. My dad used to make this dish when I was a child and it was so freakin good. I have not found any vegan version that even comes close. I don't have his secret recipe, but have never asked for it either. I'm sure he'd be happy to have me try it out. It's been almost 20 years since I've had it.

I would like to make chili and sloppy joes with this product
thanks

Nikki :

I would love to win. I buy vegan meat all the time. I'm working on getting my kids into it.

Karyn :

I would like to enter the contest as I am a new vegetarian trying to get my 10 year old daughter to try new recipes. (not to mention my husband of 17 years.) Their favorite recipe is Italian Pasta and I now have to make it for them and then separate out some for myself prior to adding the meat. Just cutting up beef for the recipe has become difficult; I won't go into the details but I would LOVE to have my family try the recipe "meatless". It is a wonderful dish and is as follows:

8 oz Penne pasta
1 tsp olive oil
1/2 cup sliced onion
2 cloves garlic thinly sliced
1 can diced or fresh tomatoes (if fresh add 1/3 cup water)
1/4 cup Red Wine of own choosing (I use Merlot)
2 Tbs tomato Paste
1/2 tsp. crushed red pepper
1/2 tsp basil
1/2 tsp oregano
1/4 tsp salt
1/4 tsp pepper
And the Kicker: right now I have to add 1 pound of steak or ground italian sausage. I would LOVE to have them try the Match meat instead and not have to separate out my dish from theirs.

The cooking directions: Cook and drain pasta. Saute onion and garlic in oil then add meat until cooked. While that is cooking, combine tomatoes, wine, tomato paste, and all seasonings. (From this I set aside a small amount of sauce and pasta for myself) Once meat is prepared, add cooked pasta and sauce mix and simmer for 10 minutes. I put soy cheese on the top and put it under a broiler for a few minutes for my daughter's benefit.

Winning this would be an awesome introduction to my vegetarianism. I am already on the prowl for ways to change my "family favorite" recipes.

Thanks so much!

Rachael :

Yay!

Steve Scott :

I am sick of the same old same old.

Elana Frank :

The reason why i would love to win this contest is for two reasons. First, my dad and sister still eat meat, and i would love to show them that eating faux meat would be just as good, AND humane. Also, a lot of my classmates still make fun of me that I'm a vegetarian, I'm still working on proving them wrong, and that it is better. Some foods i would like to make would be tacos, enchiladas, tandoori "chicken", and some other types of food that i know will taste great.

Coleen :

OH MY... i have to try those NOT crab cakes. they look yummy.

Bernard Roderick :

I would use the beef to make my tasty "Whole wheat spagetti soup." NOt only good for you but extremely delicious.

Bernie

Luis Cardenas :

FINALLY!!! I can use the ground "pork" this year in a very traditional Mexican food for holidays, including Christmas: GREEN and RED TAMALES!!! YUUUUUMMM!!!

Thank you SOOO much for making this great product! I can't to win!!!!!!! :-)

... *but, of course, the corn paste(masa) WITHOUT lard* ...

Julia :

I would love to use these meats in my new favorite recipe: "Feaux-stroganoff". I usually use tofu that I sear as the main ingredient, but the "meats" you spoke of sound like they'd be yummy too!

Beverly :

My daughters who are 15 and 16...along with me are just about to embark on a vegan lifestyle. My youngest has Hypogammaglobulinemia which is an immunodeficiency. I have autoimmune problems that have caused strokes and various other "issues". I have considered the impact of what we eat and how that is affecting our health.

The first recipe I would like to try would be chicken enchiladas. They are a family favorite with us. I am going to tweak the recipe now to allow it to be vegan.

I hope I win!

Allison Burgess :

I am the manufacturer of Match premium meat alternatives. I am so gratified to read all the comments and would love to know how people cook with Match meats-I learn so much from our customers. One lady approached me and told me how she makes chicken enchiladas for Christmas Eve every year-she used Match chicken (microwaved it), shredded it and made the enchildadas-=and her family (all meat eaters) never knew. the notable thing is that she said it saved her two hours (boiling the chicken) and she didn't have to deal with the skin and bones and fat...I never thought about that-but there is no waste with our products.
Someone said the pork doesn't have enough flavor-for those that tried it-should we boost the flavor?
Whole Foods here in St. Louis uses the Italian Sausage with their penne-it is fabulous...
Thank you so much for your help and advice...
Allison

Dave :

Awesome - I love veggie meats. I'd do the crab rangoon as someone else mentioned - because that's about the only veggie meat dish I haven't had or made already.

However I wanted to let everyone know - when it comes to veggie Worcestershire sauce, the very best substitute I have found is Pickapeppa sauce (www.pickapeppa.com)

Carolyn :

Anything Italian.(Spaghetti, Ziti, etc.) YUM YUM ;-) Thanks.

ashley :

i love free food, and faux-chicken! :P
most vegan foods are expensive. :(

melissa post :

Hi I loveeeee trying new vegan "faux" meats....please enter me I'd love it!
Thanks

william watkins, Sr. :

let me win

Pete :

Veggie meats are awesome when properly made! I remember in Hell's Kitchen, some dude couldn't even tell blindfolded whether chicken/sausages are made out of tofu.
http://www.homecookingdiary.com

Portia Elliott :

I would like to make Beef Bourguignon with meatless beef. I would alter the traditional recipe with the meatless beef.
Thanks!

Kyle Banderman :

Probably for sloppy joes or possibly some veggie chili

Heather McDonough :

I'd love to use my winnings in some great Mexican dishes, like tacos, nachos, etc.

AnneMarie DeRemer :

I would you it with some type of beans ie. black eyed peas and make a one dish meal creole style with tomatoes, green peppers and some cilantro.

liz :

i love that stuff but its expensive so i only buy that stuff once in a while

Alva Kennedy :

I would like to use "faux meat" for burrito, taco, spaghetti, lasagna & pizza & pastichio (greek lasagna). It was great reading the comments from other people because some had some really yummy sounding idea for different ways you can cook with "faux meat". I am encouraged to try "faux" ground chicken after reading the comments.

Kim O'Bryan :

Woo Hoo!!
Where's the Match Meat?!?

Sandra :

I want to get back on my vegan diet. I miss feeling healthy. I really could use this since I am trying new recipes and relearning how to be a vegan.

Ted :

Faux meat for sure!

Veggie4 :

I love using faux meat for a seitan "beef" stew. It's quick, easy, & very tasty. A favorite amongst my not-yet-vegetarian friends!

In a big pot add 1-3 in. pieces of carrots, potatoes, onions, celery, mushrooms, a handful or two of barley, and seitan. Add some a splash of Bragg's Liquid Amino or soy sauce, a squirt of agave sweetener dill, vegan boullion cube, and garlic. Cover in water. Boil briefly and then cover & simmer until water is mostly gone. Better if you can wait till the next day to serve when flavors have gotten stronger & mixed through.

martha brannan :

I WOULD LOVE TO WIN THIS THANK U

I'd make a big fat juicy grilled burger loaded with sweet roasted onions and peppers on a whole grain bun oh I can almost taste it now...

Julie Kozel :

I would love to try your products in any recipe & have a big dinner party to try to convert friends & family to vegetarianism!

Well, since I have been a vegetarian I have got a lot of slack from family and friends, I know this will sound very sneaky and maybe even a little bit harsh, but I have been planning on making a LASANGNA (Family Favorite)for my family (Mother & Sisters), not telling them that the meat (and cheese) is actually "faux" and having them eat it thinking its actually meat, and then asking them how well they liked it, and let them all know that being vegetarian is not that bad in fact that they just had a vegetarian prepared meal, and anyone can do it!

I also make a special Chicken style casserole, and I would love to use these products for that as well.

Thank you.
Melissa

Jenn :

Enter Me!!!

Eloy J. Hernandez :

Arroz con pollo (Rice with Chicken) is a typical Cuban dish. My version is Arroz "sin" pollo (Rice WITHOUT chicken) and it is a great Cuban vegan meal, so I hope I win some Match Meats.

Basically, you want to take some long-grain white rice, a good blonde beer (Miller High Life was used in my traditional Cuban family), some saffron, and some salt and get that boiling with sufficient water (beer and water should equal twice the amount of rice used). When it comes to a boil, cover and simmer.

Take the "unchicken" and saute it in olive oil with onions and crushed garlic. I like to really brown it.

Stir the unchicken mixture into the rice pot. When the rice has softened and most of the liquid has boiled off, add lots of fresh peas (a half a cup) and use a fork to fluff up the rice and mix in the peas, which will blanche and warm quickly.

The rice should be a nice blazing yellow and the flavors of the olive oil, garlic, onion, and saffron will leave you with the definitive Cuban dish without harming any of our bird friends!

Shelly :

Please enter me into the contest.

Jen Madsen :

I have one omnivore daughter in my family of veggie/vegans. So far Boca hasn't convinced her to switch. If I could tempt her with a nice, juicy Match Southwest Burger, well, my work here would be finished!

emily daniels :

I would make my dad's famous enchila'a -- being his secret recipe I cannot give it here without his permission but I will say that tofu and morning star meal starters don't do it justice. My family and I go to my grandparents' house every Sunday and they cook. They do things like the Atkin's diet which is virtually all meat and don't know how to cook vegetarian they just make a salad with no dressing. My dad was a rancher so he doesn't mind at all. It would be nice for me, my mom, and sister to have a real Sunday family meal that tasted authentic while we watched them eat steaks and chicken wings.
Thanks so much for doing the contests!!

melissa :

I would love to use the faux beef for making a chunky brown gravy to serve over a heap of mashed potatoes!! (c:}

Jill Boggs :

I'm just new to the "vegan" lifestyle and was so board of cooking for my family. Seemed like the same things over and over. Now I've been reinspired to "cook". Although I often make mistakes, and usually have to follow a recipe, it would be great to have the perfect ingredients on hand (like match products) because then I could concentrate on the cooking and creating and not have to worry that I'm using something that has a "forbidden" ingredient, or one I overlooked at the grocery store. These "meats" sound yummy and I would love to start creating Italian style meals for my family with these products.

Laura R :

I just started my new vegetarian lifestyle nearly 3 weeks ago and would absolutely love to win some fake "meat" for a delicious meal! Yummy!

jen gersch :

lasagna

Donna Coughlin :

I want to make chicken cutlets and tacos and fajitas with the meat

James Jenkins :

chicken style casserole

Mitzi :

Full vegan meats? YAAAAYYY!!! The only real vegan meats I can find are boca burgers... they're tasty, but they get boring after a while.

Amy Wilson :

Wow! They're going after the restaurants! Go, Match, Go!

claudette flanigan :

I would use it one of my many Mexican recipes.

Anna :

I would love to make a yummy burger w/them!

Val :

Yum! Sounds delicious.

Marilyn Saunders :

Would love to try the Crab for stuffed mushrooms. Just chop the mushroom stems, mix with celery, onion, faux crab,Old Bay seasoning, lemon juice and a little olive oil. Bake for about 20 minutes . . . yummy! Can't wait to try your products, even if I don't win the contest. Thanks.

Thomas McCourt :

I would love to use the italian sasauge in a pasta dish and try it on my parents. im 13 and live in the country in south australia, i would love to try it on my carnivouros parents and see if they can tell them the difference, as they have not made my vegetarian experience very pleasnt, espically my mother, who is always trying to sneak meat into my vegan meals

bob :

I would use any of them in a Hunan stir fry. That's how I added tofu to my diet.

Karen :

Okay. I am VERY new to the vegan world. As a matter of fact, we are still trying to convert. I have recently lost over 50 pounds, and have started researching diet, and nutrition for ways to take my health and fitness to the next level. I am motivated by everything I have read so far. I received the free starter kit from PETA, and had my husband read it. He is now more open to this, but loves his grill. I have been collecting recipes that use the grill, and the southwestern veggie burger was a suprising hit! Budget is an issue for us, and this "meatless meat" contest would really start us off on the right foot. Thank you!

Louis Willhauck :

in my favorite "yaprak dolmasi" sometimes called stuffed grape leaves.

Monique :

I make an awesome spaghetti sauce, which is normally completely vegetarian, that I would love to try some of the 'beef' or 'italian sausage' faux meats as an addition.

Joseph H. :

Recently, after eating at a popular Fast Food restaurant, I suffered severe abdominal pains. I realized that I desperately need to make a lifestyle change. I've already cut out beef and I'm seriously considering eliminating all meat products. I've never had the opportunity to try faux meats before, but I'd love to use some of your faux beef in "Thai Green Curry". While studying to be a Thai Linguist in the Army, my teacher taught me how to make this dish, using Coconut Milk, Basil, Thai Spices and fresh vegetables, like Eggplant, Raw Green Beans and Green Bell Pepper. It was one of his favorites, from when he was a young boy in Thailand, and I was very fortunate that he passed his recipe along to me. Since then, I've enjoyed making Green Curry on special occasions, for my friends and family. It is my absolute favorite "feel good" food; every time I make this, I'm completely overwhelmed by the satisfaction that it brings and I can imagine nothing better than adding "guilt-free" to what I like to call the "enjoyment factor". Thank you for your time and consideration. I'll be on the edge of my seat until June 20.
Sincerely,
Joseph H.

Stephane :

I would really love to make my favorite latin food in the world with the faux beef. Pasteles en hojas, which are Dominican plantain patties. Yummy!

April :

This is a great contest for someone like me who's definitely interested in making the switch from meat eater to vegetarian or even vegan! What better way to find out then the win the faux meats!

David Hobbs :

Tinned tomatoes - they go with anything and everything.
Best, David

Jaime-Lynn :

Some of the faux meats taste better than the real thing. Cruelty free is the way to go!

Catherine KingChuparkoff :

I love the taste of faux meats and my children are beginning to follow suit...my husband is still somewhat a non-believer, so for one week, I would love to make some of his favorite dishes using these fantastic products...my goal is to have our entire family of four go totally veg by 2009!

Brenda Bond :

I want to stop eating meat sooo badly! But the problem is, I don't know what to eat. I have never eaten any faux meat before, but I really hate the fact that I am eating animals!

Cathleen :

This would be a first for me, but I would try to substitute the meat in lamb kabobs for the meat alternative in the prize, assuming these "meats" could be cubed, then skewered and grilled.

Deanne O'Donnell :

With the hot summer we are having in PA, I love to make use of the grill. I would use the faux meats to make summer barbecue. I love grilled foods and the faux meats would be absolutley glorious with a hint of wood smoke and decadent vegan mole or vegan barbecue sauces. I wouldn't be happier.

joe gersch :

on pizza

Kristie Noguera :

I know this is an overly simple use for the veggie beef, but I really miss the protein in good old spaghetti. I love to make my own spaghetti sauce in would love to add some of the veggie beef. Comfort food at its best. Yummm!

Jennifer Jozwiak :

probably chili, i love eating chili, lol

jimmy lee :

I'm crossing my fingers and toes! ;)

Carla Pullum :

Marion Burgess :

I would like trying the meat in my spaghetti sauce.

Carrie Baird :

I'd like to try this in lasagne.

Michelle Simons :

use to make BLT sandwiche.

sheree :

I love most faux meats. Being able to make foods that appeal to my omni husband is why I use and make faux meats. "Hamburger pie, Italian bake, oh how the list goes on and one. Hope I win these. :o)

i wonder if the faux meat could stand up to some Italian family recipes? i don't remember what meat tastes like, but it could it satisfy my carnivorous husband? i'd love to find out!

charline s :

YUMMY!

the Faux meats meets the needs of our pets. Let's hope others start using them for their needs as well.

Anne G :

Well, I'm the original "lazy vegetarian", so I'd probably be tempted to use it to make sloppy joes or something else equally easy. Still, I've been trying to perfect my veggie "meatloaf" recipe (oatmeal seems to be the secret) and I might give Match "beef" a try with that recipe. I'm very close to publishing it on my blog, just need to get my lazy you-know-what in gear first!

Isabel Menendez :

We are closet vegitarians. I am slowly converting my family and this would help with my plan.

Thank you!

Ed Nemmers :

Chili or Vegetarian Lasagna, those sound too wintry. How about kebabs with copious vegetables added?

Put it in pasta sauce. I like using Ragu as a base, and then spicing it up! I would love to try the vegan meat in a pasta dish.

Samantha Pruitt :

ravioli

Gayle Morgan :

I would use in chili and also salsa.

eva andrew :

I have been a vegetarian for a long time but not my family. I would use this in Shepherd's Pie...my family's favourite meal.

Pamela White :

Enter me please, I'm always open to something new.

Pamela Priebe :

Melanie Miller :

I would make lasagna.

G. L. PENROD :

TOCO SALAD/BEAN DIP WOULD BE THE THINGS I WOULD MAKE/TRY IT IN

Ruthann Rhodes :

Would love to try this in an old recipe Amarillo Delight. Delicious served over rice. Thanks

I would make stuffed peppers
with veges.

Kimberly Morghan :

These products look really tasty! I've been a vegetarian for decades, so I don't buy many "faux-meats", but the ground chicken, beef, and pork look like they would be great filling for homemade tamales (and a nice change from beans!). That's probably the first recipe I'd try these in.

Jan D :

Stuff small dinner rolls with a mixture of ground meat (I use Soy substitute but would love to try this new faux meat), Ortega chilis, and Jack Cheese (I use a Soy substitute cheese). Microwave a few seconds to smush the flavors together. They are really yummy, reheat well, travel well to potlucks, and people never suspect that no animals were harmed in the making of them. People are always asking for the recipe.

I would make taco salad with it :)

Sand :

I've been trying to find ways to eat less meat.

Adanma Milton :

I would use the "crab" to make crabcakes. I live way down south in the country and there aren't many vegetarians (or vegetarian options) here in this town. I would love to win the prize.

natosha m :

meatball subsandwich

Chrysa :

I would make some veggie enchiladas!

Timothy Selig :

I'd make tacos el grande

Beef would be great for a spicy meatball lasagna.

I think Match Meats would be great in my meatloaf!

sarah woods :

Would love to use in gumbo or jumbalaya; many thanks sw

Donna Kozar :

How about a meatless meatloaf?

Lincoln Mulkey :

My three favorite recipes: Enchiladas, Enchiladas, and Enchiladas.

Aaron Bretveld :

I won't pretend I don't eat meat regularly, but if Faux meat tastes good I would use it just as readily. I'd like the chance to try this. Tacos are always a good place for ground meat, so I would probably use this for tacos first (and I make a good taco filling too!)

Rosanne Morrison :

I'd put it in lasagna

Amanda :

I would love to try the ground chick'n style to make chick'n parmesan meatballs and pasta.

Mix up the meat match with some bread crumbs and italian seasoning, roll around a cube of mozzarella or vegan mozzarella and then roll in bread crumbs. Bake them up and serve on pasta with marinara sauce. MMMMM!

Lynn :

I'd try it grilled in a veggie burrito.

Cecilia Dunbar Hernandez :

I have given up eating meat and would love to win this contest so I can try Veg Meats. Thanks, Cece

Hi,

I would like to invite you to check out this Vegetarian food website and see if you would agree with me that this is a good place to find meat replacements.

http://www.susansdesign.com/health.htm

Take care,
Susan

ANGELA CALE :

I would love to make my grandmas meatballs a recipe that has been passed down.

Nancy Arnold :
