Happy Meatout!

To celebrate Meatout 2008, I've agreed to do a little guest post on The PETA Files. Be sure to check out the post, which includes my recipe for mock crab cakes served on warm crostini and topped with lemon-dill mayo. You can read the post, on the second best PETA blog, here.

JAN LIBBY :

I HAVE JUST SEEN A VIDEO FROM PETA WITH REGARDS TO HOW THE ANIMALS ARE KILLED IN EGYPT! IT IS AN OUTRAGE! I AM A VEGETARIAN FOR A FEW YEARS NOW, AND I FEEL SO MUCH BETTER. IT IS VERY NAUSEATING, AND DISTURBING TO SEE. I JUST FOUND THE VEGGIE BURGER OFFERING FROM BURGER KING THAT I PLAN ON USING SOON. IF MOST PEOPLE SAW THAT CRUEL TREATMENT OF THE ANIMALS - THEY WOULDN'T EAT MEAT ANY MORE!

I saw that video on how animals are slaughtered. It's the reason I stopped eating meat. What was I thinking before I became a veggie? And milk, have you seent he sick life of a female cow for their milk. It's a snow ball effect. Don't think I'm not shouting at my family & friends about that.
