We're a couple of weeks into the new year, and if you're anything like me, you've already blown your resolution. But that's OK, because "if at first you don't succeed, dust yourself off and try again."
If your resolution was to lose weight, then you're in luck. PETA is having a contest to give away copies of Skinny Bitch and Skinny Bitch in the Kitch, which will help you recommit to that resolution of yours.
The contest says that the Skinny Bitch in the Kitch cookbook offers "vegan recipes for every craving—desserts, 'bitchin' breakfasts,' and 'PMS (Pissy Mood Snacks).'" And the authors, Rory Freedman and Kim Barnouin, say the book offers "Kick-Ass Recipes for Hungry Girls Who Want to Stop Cooking Crap (and Start Looking Hot!)." Sounds like a fun way both to keep this year's resolution and try out vegan recipes—how can you resist?
My resolution this year is top secret—I'll never tell—but if you made a food-related resolution this year, please share. Oh, and enter the contest!

I made a resolution to stop eating meat. Which has actually been really easy since my boyfriend and I were already eating mostly vegetarian meals at home already. Lucky for me I have a man who loves to cook and is researching all the best ways to eat meat-free. ^__^ It's incredible how much diversity there seems to be in food once you cut the meat out of your diet!

I JUST finished reading Skinny Bitch...PLUS I ate at this restaurant called Green today and tried Tofu for the first time! It was actually a popcorn tofu sandwich with chipotle mayo. Fucking delicious.
I love your site and am writing down some of the recipes before I head to Wholefoods.

I was smart enough to not make any resolutions this year. Why set yourself up for failure? lol I need some kick-ass recipes to motivate me instead.

I bought Skinny Bitch and read it in a day. It was SO ENJOYABLE and I just loved it. I also never ate meat again. Seriously, this has been one of the best decisions of my life. I feel excellent, so much better than just "well". I got a vegetarian slow cooker cookbook and use it almost on a daily basis. Soups, stews, pasta dishes, chili, there is so much variety. I am looking forward to winning that book!!! Rory and Kim are my idols. Do it. You won't be sorry.

I'm always struggling to find Vegan recipes but this book looks really good especially as it says it does snacks and desserts!

I just finished skinny bitch and it changed my life! It completly changed the way I see food. I am transitioning into a vegetarian lifestyle, my biggest challange is not loading up on too many carbs. Giving up milk has also been the best thing I have ever done, and rice dream is delicious!
